The UWI pool on the Mona Campus is operated by Tornadoes Swim Club. UWI alumni members will have the following new discounts:

Monthly membership (with UWIAA ID) $2000
General daily entry (with UWIAA ID) $250

These rates are applicable upon presentation of a UWI Alumni Association (UWIAA) identification card from the Jamaica Chapter or any other UWI Chapter.

The pool opening hours are:

Monday 10 am - 3 pm
Tuesday 6:30 am - 7 pm
Wednesday 6:30 am- 7 pm
Thursday 6:30 am- 7 pm
Friday 10 am - 6 pm
Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
Sunday 8 am - 4 pm

A waiver on the required initial deposit on monthly plans.

Lyssons Beach

UWIAA Members can apply for a yearly pass to Lyssons Beach in St. Thomas, Jamaica for J$5,000 (a 6 month pass is J$3,000). Holders of Year and 6 Month passes are allowed up to 5 guest. Day passes are available if the date is not already booked - the cost is J$3,000 for up to 25 persons and J$6,000 for 26 - 50 persons. Passes can be paid for at the Bursary Cashier in the Administrative Annex Building at UWI, Mona and received at Maintenance/Housing. Lysoons Beach is open Wed - Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day. Facilties = tables and benches, barbeque grills, changing rooms and bathrooms. Access to UWI’s Libraries and Electronic Databases

Members of the UWI Alumni Association (UWIAA) who visit their respective Libraries can be logged on by library staff to machines giving them access to the several databases, e-journals and e-books services to which the libraries subscribe. Graduates are to show their UWIAA membership cards to gain access to the respective UWI library and then access library electronic resources and services.
