The Director of Alumni Relations for the UWI, Celia Davidson Francis, attended the AFUWI Gala on February 22, 2018, and while in New York, was delighted to attend the Flag Raising held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall to celebrate the 39th Anniversary of Saint Lucia's Independence, with H.E. Amb. Cosmos Richardson, Saint Lucia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (a UWI Alumnus) and H.E. Amb. Missouri Sherman-Peter, CARICOM's Permanent Representative to the United Nations听(a UWI alumna) and many other Saint Lucians.听听听听

The UWIAA St. Lucia held a unique听 and fun social and networking -听Family Games and Movie Night" on听Saturday, February 17, 2018.听Alumni came together to celebrate and show their PELICAN PRIDE as 探花系列 70th Anniversary is celebrated in 2018. The event was free听and snacks and drinks were available. Alumni brought their kids along for some fun time, movies and games.
听
Mrs. Lydia Dariah, the UWIAA President for the St. Lucia Chapter attended the first ever Open Campus Retreat for Alumni听 Presidents in Grenada in October 2017 and was part of the historic group to strategize and plan for increased alumni engagement with the Open Campus sites within the UWI system.听
